Just Sayin’…from the Director
As we come to the end of another year, we would like to thank all of our members, partners, sponsors, and donors. We are very thankful for your continued patronage and support!
This year, we celebrated Developmental Disability Awareness Month with our shamrock the House fundraiser but added some New Orleans flair! “A Mardi Gras Gala” was a huge hit with special thanks to our friends at Rodi’s! We hope to see you all on Friday March 6, 2015 for another great event! We continued our partnership with St. Mark’s Episcopal Church for the 6th year and were able to serve 22 campers through our Kamp Kaleidoscope summer camp program. We also provided scholarships for 31 Gaston County residents with developmental disabilities to attend the summer camp of their choice across North Carolina. Lastly, we were able to fill 64 wish lists for children and adults with developmental disabilities to have a wonderful Christmas! ALL of this would not be possible without your support!
We look forward to 2015 as we welcome several new board members, all of whom will be tremendous assets to The Arc. Along with this personal growth, our hope is to consider the possibility of finding a larger office space to offer more to our community!! We hope you can help us get there!
Thanks again for helping us to make a difference in 2014!
